The film chronicles a day in the life of a grieving woman and the twelve visitors who help her move forward. Maye (Salli Richardson-Whitfield) is grappling with the loss of her aunt, Amanda (Beverly Todd), who died of breast cancer.
Slated for release this spring, DuVernay has crafted a winning tale that will serve as the inaugural project for her newly-created venture, the African-American Film Festival Releasing Market (AFFRM).
